Reddit soccer streams: what happened, and where fans go now
For years, reddit soccer streams was the first search every football fan made on a matchday. This page explains why those threads disappeared, and gives you the modern replacement: today's fixtures, live scores and the official channel for every match.
Why reddit soccer streams became famous
The old soccer streams community on Reddit worked because it was simple. Before each match, a thread collected links, and thousands of fans upvoted the ones that worked. At its peak it was the front door to online football for a whole generation of fans in the UK, the US and far beyond.
Searches like reddit soccer stream, redditsoccerstreams as one word, soccer streams reddit and soccer reddit streams all grew out of that habit. The habit outlived the community itself, which is why the searches are still among the biggest in football.
What happened to the subreddit
The community was shut down after sustained pressure over copyright. Streaming links to matches without the rights holders' permission broke Reddit's rules, and the subreddit was banned, briefly reborn under new names, and banned again.
Copies and successor forums appeared, but none kept the same scale or trust, and many filled up with spam, fake links and download traps. The same era produced other stream brand names that fans still search for, like ovostreams and footystreams, and they followed the same pattern: a burst of popularity, then shutdowns, copies and dead ends. Reddit itself now points fans toward legal viewing, and its big soccer communities focus on discussion, highlights posted by official accounts and match threads about the game, not streams of it.
Where those fans go now
The matchday routine that replaced it has three parts. First, a fixtures page like this one, to see what is on and when. Second, the official broadcaster for the match, Sky Sports or TNT Sports in the UK, NBC and Peacock, ESPN+ or Paramount+ in the US. Third, a live scores page open on a second screen for the other matches.
That is the routine this site is built for. The homepage lists today's matches with London kick-off times, each match page adds the US Eastern time and the official channel, and scores update every minute while games are live.
About reddit football streams searches
The same story covers the football wording: reddit football streams and similar searches come mostly from the UK, where the game is called football. They lead to the same place as the soccer versions, a banned subreddit and a set of imitators, rather than to a working official service.
If you landed here from any of these searches, the useful next step is short: check today's agenda, open your match, and follow the official channel named on its page.
Staying safe around stream searches
Searches in this area attract some of the worst corners of the sports internet: fake player downloads, browser hijackers and pages that ask for card details for a free trial of nothing. A fixtures and scores guide like this one asks for none of that, and neither does any official broadcaster app.
If a page promises every match free in perfect quality with no rights deal behind it, it is not being straight with you, and it is usually selling your attention, or worse, to someone else.
Frequently asked questions
Is the reddit soccer streams subreddit still active?
No. The original community was banned by Reddit over copyright, and its successors were banned as well. Reddit's soccer communities today are for discussion and news, not stream links.
Why do people still search for reddit soccer streams?
Habit. For years it was the standard way to find a match, so the search terms, including redditsoccerstreams and soccer streams reddit, stayed in use long after the community closed.
Where can I watch the matches instead?
On the official broadcasters: Sky Sports, TNT Sports, BBC and ITV in the UK, and NBC, Peacock, ESPN+ and Paramount+ in the US. Every match page here names the channel for its competition.
Does this site post stream links like the subreddit did?
No. We publish fixtures, kick-off times, live scores and official channel information only.
What is the difference between reddit soccer streams and reddit football streams?
Only the wording. Soccer is the US term and football is the UK term, but both searches point back to the same closed community and the same modern alternatives.
